Michelle Moser

After studying geography and undertaking training in environmental management, I started work in the area of waste management, both in Geneva and in Costa Rica. Upon my return to Switzerland, I worked as a "Cité de l'énergie" (energy city) consultant and, today, I assist around 15 municipalities in the Geneva area in their efforts to improve their energy management and energy efficiency. A few years ago, I felt an increasing urge to provide support to caregivers, people whose work is often forgotten but is immeasurably valuable. I first completed a course in end-of-life care, followed by training as a health therapist, before signing up as a volunteer at Maison de Tara. The recognition I receive from all of the caregivers I work with there leaves me more motivated than ever to set up a project to provide them with reassurance and support during the most difficult phase of their work. This is a time all of us will be confronted with sooner or later, whether we are giving or receiving care.
